I went with a pink and gold color scheme for my wedding. I originally wanted a Summer wedding with khaki suits for our groomsmen but my brother is being deployed in May with the NAVY and I wanted to make sure he could be there, so we moved our wedding date up to March and went with Brown tuxedos. They worked out great with the candy pink bridesmaid’s dresses. The brown gave it a little something special. I wore hot pink, suede pumps with my wedding gown. It made for fun pictures and totally reflected my personality. My photographer used them a few different ways in pictures. For favors, we created a candy buffet which was a big hit! I purchased all the candy in pink and gold so my wedding colors would flow through. We even had customized fortune cookies and swirly lollipops with our initial on the wrappers. I would definitely recommend a photo booth at your wedding or props with your DJ. We had both and they were a huge hit and got people out of their seats! Our wedding was the best day of our lives, hands down.
My advice to other brides is to always, always remember, it’s all about you and your groom. Don’t let others tell you what to choose or how things should be done. This is your day and no one should be making decisions for you or swaying your opinion about anything. When you wake up on your wedding day, let any stress go and let the day happen. If you think about what is being done and not being done, your day will fly by and you’ll miss it. Embrace the atmosphere and the love and most of all, have the time of your life!
